Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village

The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is an open-air museum that uses costumed historical interpreters to recreate pioneer settlements in east central Alberta, Canada, northeast and east of Edmonton. In particular it shows the lives of Ukrainian Canadian settlers from the years 1899 to 1930.

 

Camping

The Strathcona Wilderness Centre offers year-round camping sites, bunkhouses and picnic sites for you to enjoy. The rustic sites feature a fire pit and firewood, picnic tables and potable water access with an outside tap at the Information Centre. You'll find clean outhouses along with flushing toilets during office hours.

 

Hiking

Strathcona County has trails for days located across the entire municipality. From beautiful walking paths within Sherwood Park, to mountain biking trails in Cooking Lake Blackfoot Provincial Park Recreation Area. Elk Island National Park

Bordering Strathcona County to the East Elk Island Park is a must see!
